Joe Biden takes this oath of office on January 20th, 2021 making him the 46th president of the United States of America. His inaguaration ceremony was held in outside of the capitol building where just weeks before a large crowd estimated at 1 million people rallied in support of President Donald J. Trump. A small extremist subset formulated an aggressive strike against the capitol at this time and stormed the capitol temporily stopping the electorial vote count and causing the congress to shelter in the capitol until the building was cleared. The count resumed later that evening and Joe Biden was certified as the winner leaving a large section of the population still expessing doubt to the validity of the elections results in 6 swing states.
